About a 45 minute drive from Honolulu Airport lies the most famous stretch of surf in the world. From the playful Turtle Bay to the notorious Pipeline and BackDoor to the competitive waves at Haleiwa, the North Shore has up to 50 surf breaks. The Alligator House is located near Waimea Bay, home of the Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational. From May until September the reefs out front can be calm and clear with turtles visible from the living room.

Designed by Long Architects, inspired by Japanese design elements and constructed to withstand the elements and the test of time. The tall floor to ceiling sliding doors invite the ocean views to be enjoyed throughout the home. On the main floor a 30 ft bank of glass doors slide into a pocket, opening up the entire kitchen and living areas to the ocean breezes.

Appreciated for it’s architectural design, beautiful craftsmanship, and stunning location, the Alligator House offers want few stays on the North Shore can provide.
Wrap around lanais and a rooftop feature breathtaking 180 degree ocean views. From the comfort of your bed you can see the endangered Hawaiian Sea Turtles year round. The winter months bring the big waves, as well as breaching humpback whales viewable throughout the home.
